Slate’s Keith Hernandez to open Publish 2016
Presented by Mumbrella, Publish returns to Sydney on September 15 and will be opened by Slate president Keith Hernandez who will talk audiences through how a mid-sized digital publisher has survived the US market for 20 years.
The day will feature a presentation from News Corp’s Nicholas Gray, CEO of The Australian, who’ll be talking through the national broadsheet’s shift to digital, its financial performance post the GFC and how it is convincing customers to subscriber.
The conference - which sees people working in or connected to the print and digital publishing industry come together to discuss key trends and developments - will feature presentations on creating an events division, how to get your masthead in front of a media agency, why podcasting works for publishers and how publishers have transformed to become digital-first.
